Welcome to the new lhcyouth.com. I hope you’re diggin what you seeing. A lot of time and effort has gone into it. Thanks a ton to Tom @ Slurve for hooking us with the sweet new layout and building us this site. Much love Tom!

I was driving in the car the other day and telling Eileen and was telling her about our new site. She seemed to get really excited until I mentioned our blog…then she just looked confused. She just simply smiled at me and in the cutest voice ever asked, “Jimmy, what’s a blog?”

It was at that point that I realized there are probably quite a few of you who are reading this wondering what the heck a blog is. It’s a word that’s short for “web log”, simply put it’s an online journal that everyone can read.

So parents, keep checking out our blog for upcoming news and events. Students, keep checking out our blog for fun facts, special bloggers, and updates from iT and 24:7.

Weekly devo’s

I’m sure most of you guys have probably already been to the audio section of our new site and seen the links for our new weekly devotional. We figured since most you guys have iTunes (if not, get it here for free) and can get podcasts we might as well try to help encourage you during the week when things get tough. You’ll be hearing from all different people and we’ll try to upload at least one a week.

If you feel like God has given you a devotional thought that you’d like to share, drop me an email and we’ll make sure to reserve you some time in our podcast studio. I hope they encourage you, bless you, and spur you on to look more like Jesus.

I know some of you guys are avid bloggers out there. I’m thinking it would be tons of fun to have a special “blogger of the week”. It could be a leader, student, maybe even a PARENT!!! How cool would that be? I’m just throwing it out there. I’m thinking that they could be blogging about whatever’s going on b/t them and God, what’s going on in the youth ministry, in school. What do you guys think? Drop some comments and let me know. If you’re interested just email me and let me know~
