Deb

Andy

Full Name:

Deb Anderson

Nickname:

Deb, Debbers, Debs, Danderson (Mrs. Anderson is my mom)

Ministry @ LHCyouth:

iT Leader & Sr High Girls Small Group Leader

Hobbies:

(no particular order) Reading, Movies, Shopping, Playing Games, anything Coffee

Passions:

I love to see the “light go on” when someone gets what God has for them (Salvation, Gift, Blessing, Answer to Prayer, etc)

Car Dreams:

Chevy Avalanche (although the new Durangos are pretty mean looking too).

Favorite Source of Entertainment:

Movies at home, going out with friends

Favorite Place on Earth:

Empty Ocean Beach (a storm makes it that much more enjoyable). God was pretty creative with Creation…

Favorite Drink:

Mocha Café or Mocha Frap (depending on weather), Dunkins, and can’t forget the Diet Coke 

Ice Cream:

Breyers (any flavor but love Mint Choc Chip or Strawberry), especially as a milk shake (stirred, not blended)

Favorite Verse:

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (plans much bigger than I could come up with, and that “hope and a future part” is when I see Jesus face to face); Isaiah 30:21 (so glad for His Spirit who knows the way and knows me)

If I could be a Superhero:

If there were one that could make one’s critics walk in one’s shoes for a week – that’s who I’d be. We could all do better for understanding the journey of others.

Favorite Book:

Series of Unfortunate Events; Left Behind Series; Harry Potter (mostly the movies though); Eragon; Crazy Love by Francis Chan

Favorite Mythical Creature:

I read a book when I was in High School called “Hinds Feet in High Places”. The main character of course was mythical, and it’s not so much what kind of creature as much as the journey she took.

Pet Peeves:

Yep, I got a few. You’ll know, I’m pretty transparent (that is both good and bad…)

Favorite holiday:

At the risk of sounding cliché I have to say ThanksGiving/Christmas/New Years. Besides the obvious celebrations of thankfulness and the birth of our Savior and all things new, I enjoy this time of year because even the most selfish will think of others if only for a moment though likely remain their shallow selves. But the celebration activities cause us to look beyond ourselves and it’s an opportunity to realize that the world doesn’t exist for just the me(s) of the world

Best quotes:

“Beginnings are usually scary and endings are usually sad, but it’s the middle that counts. You have to remember this when you find yourself at the beginning.”

Hidden Talents:

There’s not a whole lot that is “Hidden” with me.

Best thing about Me:

What you see/hear is what you get (no guessing here)

Worst thing about Me:

What you see/hear is what you get (diplomacy is something I work at)

Children:

Brett and Trenton. I love my boys so so so much. They say they know, but I don’t think they know how much…maybe when they have kids, then they’ll know

On my Top 10 movies list:

Hope Floats

iPhone or Droid?

Both are cool. I happen to have a Droid though if either were free, I’d take the iPhone….just sayin’

StarWars or Star Trek?

Star Trek….William Shatner (Captain Kirk) was(is) the king of drama (not necessarily equal to good acting)…hahahaha I watched an episode not too long ago :P

Favorite games to play

Board Games, Card Games, I just like paying games cuz it means you’re with people you enjoy 

Favorite time of day

5:00am (I have another hour of sleep!!!)
